Born in 1968 in New York, Lindsey Adelman created her own design studio in 2006. After her studies in English literature, she turned to design and obtained a degree in Industrial Design. Her work combines handmade and industrial objects. In 2000, Lindsey Adelman founded the Butter Company with David Weeks proposing design products for the home. Since then, Lindsey Adelman has focused on her own line of handmade glass lamps. Recognition of her aesthetic studio creations came with the release of her first product, the Branching Bubble chandelier, which combines the organic nature of blown glass with more industrial parts. She presented her work at the ICFF and has also been recognized in trade publications. Lindsey lives with her husband and son in Brooklyn where she continues to research possibilities for light and glass.
