Born in Uruguay in an Italian family, Matteo Fogale had the opportunity to grow up in contact with two different cultures. He grew up in a dynamic environment that blended European influences with South American arts and crafts.
When he moved to Italy in 2001, Matteo Fogale studied at the Leonardo da Vinci School of Art and later at the University of Venice. With his studies and his creations, he quickly collaborated with brands and met with great success.
In 2015, he launched a collection in collaboration with Laëtitia de Allegri which received a Wallpaper Design Award.
He is now based in London and his work is characterised by a mix of generous shapes and Brazilian materials that reinvent Scandinavian style.
He is now working in collaboration with the Danish company Andtradition, for whom he created the Caret lamps.
