Nicholai Wiig-Hansen is a Danish designer born in 1964, son of artist Svend Wiig-Hansen. Self-taught and dyslexic, he developed a strong sense of form and functionality at an early age. He set up his own studio at the age of 26, after working with IKEA and designer Niels Gammelgaard.

His style is characterized by simple, balanced and expressive forms, with particular attention to color. He is the co-founder of the Raawii design label, known for its Strøm collection inspired by modern art. His work has won several international awards and he teaches at the ECAL in Lausanne.
