Paul Stefan Gross is a British designer of German and French origins, trained in both sculpture and furniture design in London.
This dual training has had a profound influence on his creative approach, enabling him to develop a vision in which the object is conceived as much as an artistic form as a functional element. After more than thirty years' experience in furniture and interior design for various companies, in 2013 he co-founded the Homestories studio in Brooklyn, a space dedicated to humble, tactile design rooted in the material. Today, on the strength of this rich and international career, he is asserting himself under his own name with a fully assumed signature.
His creations are characterized by a deliberately uncluttered, monochrome aesthetic, stripped of all frills to preserve only the essential. A staunch defender of the analog world, Gross favors natural textures, sober lines and the sincerity of materials. With Serax, he has created a remarkable lighting collection, whose Nomad lamps embody this philosophy: a minimalist structure, linen shades and a light that floats delicately in space.
Today, Paul Stefan Gross continues to develop new pieces in which simplicity, poetry and craftsmanship continue to be the foundations of his work.
