Nationality

Occupation
Designer

Pernille Arlien-Søborg is a Copenhagen-based designer whose work is characterized by a deep sensitivity to atmosphere, materiality, and the sensory experience of space. A graduate in spatial design from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, she founded her studio in 2008, specializing in interior design for hospitality venues, including restaurants, hotels, and workspaces.

Her approach begins with a space’s identity and the emotion it is meant to evoke. By playing with light, materials, sound, and textures, she engages the senses in a subtle and carefully considered way. Rather than viewing interiors as static compositions, Pernille perceives them as settings conducive to experience and interaction, where atmosphere and rhythm are shaped by the relationship between objects, surfaces, and people.

For Audo, she designed the Admiral portable lamp, originally developed for the Admiral Hotel in Copenhagen to create a softer, more intimate light around the dining table.
