Born in Wiesbaden in 1990, Peter Otto Vosding is a rising star in German industrial design. After studying Industrial Design in Darmstadt and then Product Design and Process Development in Cologne, he refined his approach during a semester abroad at the Ingvar Kamprad Design Centrum (IKDC) at Lund University (Sweden), thanks to a scholarship from the IKEA Foundation.
In 2017, he founded his own studio, VOSDING Industrial Design, based in Cologne. His work is distinguished by a constant quest: to create products that are better than existing alternatives, combining durability, functionality, and a sensitivity to materials. This philosophy earned him a spot as a finalist for the German Design Award Newcomer right from the start.
Specializing in furniture, lighting, and interior accessories, Peter Otto Vosding collaborates with established brands and startups, offering designs that are both technological and sensory. His unique approach, at the intersection of industrial innovation and minimalist aesthetics, quickly captivated the world of contemporary design.
His often award-winning creations reflect a consistent philosophy: every detail must serve function, elegance, and added value.
Today, VOSDING Industrial Design is synonymous with bold and timeless German design, with a recognizable signature in every piece, whether it be lighting, furniture, or everyday objects
