Norman Foster is the founder and executive chairman of Foster + Partners, a global architecture, urban planning and design studio rooted in sustainability. He was born in Manchester and, after graduating from the University of Manchester with a degree in architecture and urban planning in 1961, he was awarded a Henry Fellowship at Yale University, where he was a Fellow of Jonathan Edwards College and earned a Master of Architecture degree.
