Studio Jumbo

Birthdate
2017
Nationality
American
Occupation
designer and architect

Studio Jumbo was founded in 2017 by designers and architects Justin Donnelly and Monling Lee. This association gives birth to objects with a "reductivist" and whimsical dimension. In other words, Jumbo's projects represent the fusion between meticulous technicality and the felt joy expressed in the design process.

With a Bachelor of Arts from Stanford University and a Master of Arts from the University of Maryland, Justin Donnelly is a furniture design expert and award-winning architect. He has been featured numerous times in the New York Times magazine for his various projects. As for his collaborator, Monling Lee specializes in urban design and is passionate about colorful scenes from everyday life, which you can find on her instagram.

Studio Jumbo is recognized and appreciated for its various collections, notably Neotenic. The latter represents the fusion of simple shapes, short limbs, softened corners as well as a goofy appearance. Launched in 2018, the Neotenic collection is a finalist in Interior Design magazine's 2018 NYCxDesign awards in the residential seating category.

Find the Neotenic table lamp on Nedgis, which comes in several colors: blue, vanilla, morello cherry and vermilion and in two different sizes.
