The Macalula studio is composed of Spanish designers : Belén Moratalla, Cristina Planells and Inelén Ortín. They was born in 1983 in Valencia. They graduate at the Polytechnic university of Valencia in 2005 (industrial design).

They created together the Macalula studio in 2006. Their aim is create new lifestyles, like Piknik table lamp. A rechargeable lighting which uses USB cable. This lamp was born during the LZF competition. It was the winner, and now it is commercialized.
