Studio Niruk

Nina Ruthe founded DESIGN STUDIO NIRUK in 2011 and was joined as an intern by David Antonin in 2013. He became her partner in 2017.

Nina and David are both graduates of the Niederrhein College of Applied Sciences. Their education focused on craft and technical skills and was shaped by the Bauhaus tradition - a fact that is noticeable in all their projects and ideas. Their work is driven by curiosity and a love of experimentation. Being satisfied with the status quo is not an option. Both designers have constantly expanded and refined their skills in numerous workshops, and working with glass is a recurring theme. With their creations and concepts, the two designers work internationally. Their work has already been awarded the German Design Award, the Interieur Award and the Green Product Award.

Their design philosophy is both aesthetic and pragmatic and always takes the user as the starting point. They are inspired by nature and clean, honest material work, and contours, shapes, tactility and new techniques are essential elements for this creative duo.

Design Studio NIRUK is constantly experimenting and challenging themselves when creating new products. They think creatively and move away from the ordinary to the extraordinary by combining traditional craftsmanship with new ideas. Their creations have a clear expression, particularly well defined lines and are honest products full of life, history and character.
