The Skryta studio is composed of Maria Zeilon and Lill O.Sjöberg. Located in the heart of Gothenburg, Sweden, this award-winning studio develops handmade lamps from local factory scraps. The materials are of excellent quality. Both environmentally and socially sustainable, Skryta lamps are designed with alternative methods and adapted to the high-end design market in both large-scale production and limited edition.
The studio employs people in social rehabilitation in collaboration with the local organization Göteborgs Kyrkliga. Each lamp is signed by the designer and you can trace the history and origin of the materials of each lamp through its ID number. Making a lampshade can take 6-9 hours of work and the studio works on a project basis to produce the right amount.
You can discover lampshades made from recycled yarns from textile industries, birch from a local carpentry, recycled denim, or yarns from a local carpet factory.
