Born in 1975, Valerio Cometti received a diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the Polytechnic in Milan. In 2005, he left for Australia and founded Valerio Cometti + V12 Design. The studio’s forte was built on the sensitivity of the designers and their engineering vision. Cometti accepted a very prestigious collaboration in 2006 - the renovation of the Brionvega. At one point in time, he entered into several intense collaborations with ITRE, and the Luxit brand under the Leucos umbrella for lamp projects, from which Katana and Bow lamps were the result. En 2011, Valerio Cometti launched the brand FEB31st producing innovative luxury glasses, acting as the creative director. In 2012, he added important further partnerships with prestigious brands such as Fiam Italie and San Patrignano Bialetti. Since 2009, Valerio Cometti has been drawing car designs for Mondadori and continues to work with Italian brands, notably Zava for whom he designed the pendant lamps Rings.
