This sconce is part of the Chival collection, representing the shields used in medieval times. Made of white aluminum, this piece combines functionality and aesthetics in a remarkable way.

Designer Frederik Delbart found his inspiration in medieval times, when coats of arms adorned the walls of large rooms. He wanted to combine history with modern lighting technology and create an object that would outlive it. "I'm paying tribute to the know-how of that era. I combine tradition on the one hand and innovation on the other."

Chival's refined, high-quality craftsmanship is highlighted by its special directional light. A beam of light from top to bottom, naturally following Chival's vertical shape. Complemented by a carefully positioned TIR (Total Internal Reflection) lens, Chival projects a pure, powerful beam of light.

Chival's minimalist shape is due to a special bending technique using a single plate. The fold line is impeccably centered, dividing the luminaire into two equal parts. The carefully rounded corners show a careful craftsmanship reflecting the art of the past. Its rounded edges and small proportions give it a refined touch.

Its cubic appearance and dimensions of W7.1cm wide and H29.2cm high make it a versatile decorative element. Its unique design allows upward and downward lighting, creating an enveloping luminous ambience in any interior space.
