The Optunia wall lamp is produced by Fontana Arte.

This futuristic modern look lamp is elegant and refined. Its design imagined by Claesson Koivisto Rune is inspired by a form present in nature: the two discs recall the fins of the prickly pear (Opuntia ficus-indica), whose lamp bears the name.

It is very functional thanks to the discs that make up its head, the discs are adjustable up to 360 degrees. This allows to give birth to an extraordinary number of combinations of light. The lower disk rotates about an axis and, at the same time, the upper disk rotates about a second axis perpendicular to the first axis. This double movement allows Optunia to present both the characteristics of a direct light emission lamp, as well as an indirect light emission lamp, which uses the wall or ceiling to produce a soft, non-direct light.
