Matière Grise, which celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2015, is renowned for its industrial expertise in metalworking. The company applies this expertise to design through collections of colorful and bold contemporary furniture created by French and international designers.

Under the leadership of Isabelle Mortreuil, the French brand has, over the past ten years, established a lasting presence in the world of French metal furniture. As a symbol of this dynamism, the brand was awarded the 2014 Janus du Mobilier prize this spring by the Institut Français du Design for its 2009 Ankara collection, designed by Constance Guisset.

As for new offerings, Matière Grise is breaking new ground with its first lighting collection, also designed by Constance Guisset, a leading figure in French design. These poetic and contemporary creations showcase the art of metal bending.

Matière Grise is a 100% French company; both manufacturing and finishing are done in France.
