Constance GUISSET

Born in 1976, Constance Guisset is a French designer, based in Paris, with an original career path. After studying business and economics at ESSEC and IEP Paris, followed by a year at the parliament of Tokyo, she decided to turn to design.

Having obtained her diploma from ENSCI – Les Ateliers in 2007, she quickly earned recognition from a variety of sources, including the Grand Prix de Design from the city of Paris in 2008, the Public Prize at the Design Parade de la Villa Noailles in 2009, and the title Designer of the Year at the Now!, Design à Vivre and the Audi Talents Awards in 2010.

Constance Guisset set up her own studio in 2007 and numerous projects took shape with Petite Friture, VIA, Molteni, Moustache, Louis Vuitton Malletier, Pallucco, Nodus, FontanaArte, Matière Grise and others. Her creativity has been expressed via many different outlets, including stage sets, the design of objects and videos. Her work revolves around a philosophy of visual illusion and surprise. She devotes her time to the creation of light -- lively objects whose elegant fluidity may arouse a feeling of surprise and be a springboard for a moment’s daydreaming. Constance Guisset is currently working on the creation of a new interior design concept for the Accor-Suite Novotel Hotel group, as well as numerous items for Italian publishers and luxury French homes.
