JULES JOFFRIN - WALLS AND WONDERS
This 70 m² Haussmanian apartment, located just a stone's throw from the town hall in the 18ᵉ arrondissement of Paris, had been abandoned by the previous owners, and it took a good dose of imagination to be able to project its potential. Yet this was the gamble taken by the owners, and taken up with great pleasure by the agency.
The main challenge was to preserve the volumes and magnify the charm of the double living room, with its cornices and worked mouldings, while creating a second bedroom in the apartment for the couple's young child. A precise interplay between the old kitchen, bathroom and corridors enabled us to optimize everything.
The new living room, with its cornices and elaborate moldings, is a perfect example of this. Under the spell of the original Haussmann elements, a subtle, contemporary reinterpretation was proposed to warm up the space with warm hues. Clean lines, gentle arches and curves, and natural, enveloping materials combine with refined details to create a space that's both elegant and welcoming. A careful selection of contemporary furniture and lighting, combined with vintage design pieces, creates a vibrant, unique atmosphere.
