LORETTE - HEJU STUDIO
The main objective was to include three bedrooms in this apartment, which had only two. With this in mind, the kitchen was relocated and now forms an integral part of the living area. The quartz worktop and waxed concrete credenza extend into the existing niche, giving the kitchen a mineral feel. On the right-hand side, the large white volume on legs is discreet, while housing the more technical functions.
The existing south-facing children's bedroom benefited from plenty of light. We therefore imagined a glass roof between the bedroom and the living room so that the latter could benefit from a double orientation. The hammered glass, combined with a green beige, preserves the bedroom's intimacy and, at the same time, adds a great deal of authenticity, in the manner of old-fashioned greenhouses.
White herringbone parquet flooring was laid in the bedrooms, bringing in maximum light. The niche in the master bedroom is adorned with wallpaper designed by William Morris and a birch bookcase, awakened by a terracotta headboard. In the bathroom, the greenish-grey wainscot base structures the space, while the dark wallpaper adds depth. The marble floor and brass faucets lend elegance to the room and will subtly develop a patina over time.
