Complete renovation and decoration of a 155 m2 Haussmann-style T5 apartment in the Xth arrondissement of Paris.
Our client wanted to make the apartment she'd been living in for 10 years her own, but found it too cold and impersonal.
We redesigned this beautiful, sleepy Haussmann apartment to give it personality by creating a warm, cosy atmosphere. The space was redefined with a host of custom-made storage and furnishings, but also with a more fluid flow of traffic by creating new openings and closing off others. The creation of curves softens the rigor of the lines. Touches of color in subtle shades and dreamy wallpapers give rhythm to the rooms. The cachet of the old, lost over time, is rediscovered thanks to antique pieces (right down to the overmantels) that seem never to have left the premises. The lighting has been entirely created and reinvented, focusing on a choice of rounded fixtures with metallic, gold and bronze reflections to sculpt the ambience. Gradients of blues and greens, warm wood tones, a graphic bias and organic shapes make up the décor where design and vintage meet and match.
