Founded in 2010 by Mylène Niedzialkowski, Georges is a French decorating and furniture workshop.

Georges was built on the family know-how that Mylène inherited throughout her childhood. Accustomed from an early age to manual labor and the art of making, she now creates poetic, handcrafted decorations, furniture and lighting.

Her creations are rich in contrasts. Mylène pays particular attention to the materials she uses. We find many natural materials such as cotton, wool, raffia, rattan... The materials used are often raw, but the shapes are delicate and harmonious. These creations blend organic forms and colors, craftsmanship and urban energy.

Last but not least, Georges is also about eco-responsibility, French-style "slow design".
Keen to preserve artisanal production and local sourcing, in 2020 Mylène brought the Georges workshops together at Château de Meritein. It is in this environment that Georges products are handcrafted by some thirty artisans.
Everything is done with sincerity and sustainability in mind: from sourcing and manufacturing to the natural pigments used for the colors. For more specific materials that can't be made locally, the brand favors ecological, biodegradable materials or those produced by French workshops (e.g. Lyonnaise silk or Orriule stoneware).

Georges advocates experimentation, so all areas are explored.

Today, Georges creations enable everyone to personalize their interior and feel good about it.
Mylène's approach has given birth to a poetic, natural universe, and certain models, such as the Pale lighting collection, have established their own style.

"Georges is a space of freedom and experimentation, of delicacy and contrasts, infused with organic forms, the colors of a garrigue crushed by the sun."
