Discover Skryta the Swedish slow design brand 100% handmade and environmentally and socially sustainable. Created by Maria Zeilon and Lill O.Sjöberg, the company's goal is to reuse forgotten materials to make design lighting.
Skryta was born out of a desire to slow down the fast-paced world, and to find alternative solutions to today's challenges by giving meaning to work and consumption patterns.
All the materials used by the brand come from the scraps of weaving mills, carpentries and other factories. They are then transformed into interior design lighting.
Each lamp is made in collaboration with Göteborgs Kyrkliga, a local organization in Sweden that helps reintegrate people out of the labor market. Each lamp is signed by the person who designed it and you can find out the origin of the materials and the history of each lamp by its ID number.
