Alexander Rehn is a German designer born in Munich in 1983. Fascinated by design and form from an early age, he began his artistic career at the Bergische Kunstschule, before going on to study interior architecture at the Akademie der Bildenden Künste München (Munich Academy of Fine Arts), where he specialized in furniture design. He graduated in 2010.

Following his studies, Alexander Rehn gained his first professional experience at Greutmann Bolzern Designstudio in Zurich, Switzerland, where he worked on office furniture and showroom projects. This period enabled him to hone his sense of functionality and precision, two elements that will become central to his approach.

In 2012, he founded his own studio, Alexander Rehn Designstudio, in Munich. This independent studio focuses on product design, furniture and interior architecture. At the same time, between 2012 and 2015, he taught as an assistant to the Chair of Product Design at the Munich Academy of Fine Arts, sharing his vision and knowledge with young designers.

Alexander Rehn's work is characterized by a constant search for balance between aesthetics, ergonomics and function. He believes that "good design" is about more than the beauty of form: it must unite visual clarity with genuine utility and lasting comfort. His approach is based on durability, quality materials and the authenticity of each creation, designed to tell its own story.

Among his most emblematic works is the "Cay" sofa, a modular, sculptural seat inspired by paper folding, which perfectly illustrates his way of transforming flexibility and structure into an object that is both functional and expressive. His studio collaborates with numerous international brands and has presented his creations at leading design fairs, including Milan's Salone del Mobile.

Today, Alexander Rehn Designstudio is still based in Munich, at Wilhelmine-Reichard-Strasse 7, and continues to develop furniture, interior design and 3D visualization projects. The team provides comprehensive services: design, prototyping, material selection and digital modeling.

Alexander Rehn's world is characterized by a subtle combination of German rigor and artistic sensibility, where every line and volume reflects a clear intention: to create objects that are timeless, expressive and profoundly human.
