Occupation
Designer

Ana Krâs is a Serbian designer, artist and photographer born in Belgrade in 1984.

She studied furniture design at the University of Applied Arts in Belgrade before gaining international recognition for her intuitive, artisanal approach to design. After winning a competition to present her work in Milan, she moved to Los Angeles and then New York, where she now lives and works. Her career is marked by great creative freedom, at the crossroads of design, art and fashion, and a constant focus on raw materials and manual techniques.

Ana Krâs is best known for her "Bonbon" lamps, hand-crafted luminaires made from coloured wool yarn wrapped around metal structures, which have become emblematic of her style. She also creates furniture, drawings, illustrations and installations, always with a naïve yet refined aesthetic. Her work captivates with its organic, tactile and poetic character, and has been exhibited in numerous galleries and shows around the world.

Collaborating with design brands such as Danish fashion house HAY, Ana Krâs embodies a new generation of designers who blur the boundaries between disciplines.
