Spanish designer Barba Corsini (1916-2008) is famous for his loft space renovation in the Pedrera House of Antoni Gaudi in Barcelona. In the 50s, he designed and produced modern furniture. The Pedrera collection was created, notably the Pedrera ABC lighting. Barba Corsini was a leader amongst the functionalist architects and was internationally recognized. His influences were the German architect Mies van der Rohe and the American architect Franck Lloyd. He was also inspired by Finnish designs, for the drawing simplicity. Today, Gubi has relaunched his creations.
