Brian Rasmussen was born in Ringsted, Denmark in 1973 and graduated from the Royal Academy of Architecture in Copenhagen in 2000. Already as a first year student, he won the national student competition Prisopgave København with a project for a futuristic metro station. After his studies, he moved to Venice and has been living there ever since.  In 2002, he won second prize in the national architecture competition Christian D. IV 'S Bryghus and decided to open his own office of architecture and design in Venice. In 2003, he started a new research project: the meeting point between Roman baroque and Nordic classicism. This project became the theoretical and morphological foundation for many of the later design projects of BrianBrian Rasmussen is the creator of the Space pendant light for Zava Luce. "
