Brian Sironi was born in Seregno, Italy, in 1977. He graduated in Industrial Design at the Politecnico di Milano and then began collaborating with architects, designers and professional craftsmen in the design industry, such as joiners, blacksmiths, woodcarvers and upholsterers. Trained in the heart of Brianza, his background is both practical and academic, with a strong link to the local territory, an element that is integral to his cosmopolitan Italian creations. In 2007, Brian continued his training in the United States and, on his return to Italy, set up his own company, Studio Brian Sironi.
In his work, he focuses on the link between object and user, form and function, while searching for the purest form. His aim is to improve people's everyday lives, even in small details, or in simple, small-scale gestures, adding something extraordinary and unexpected to every object.
In 2010, he was selected for "The New Italian Design Reloaded" exhibition at the Triennale Museum in Milan, an exhibition that is currently traveling to cities around the world.
He has received prestigious awards: "Design dello Stupore" at the Young & Design competition (2009), Honorable Mention in I.D. Annual Design Review (2010), IF Gold Award (2010), Good Design Award (2011 e 2012), Red Dot Design Award (2011).
His most important project is the Elica lamp manufactured by Martinelli Luce, awarded the ADI Compasso d'Oro in 2011.
