Carlo Forcolini is an Italian designer born in Como in 1947. A graduate of the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan, he began working with the famous Castiglioni brothers and Vico Magistretti. Founder or co-founder of several influential brands such as Alias, Nemo and OY Light, he has created over a hundred designs for prestigious publishers such as Artemide and Luceplan. His work blends functionality, imagination and artistic influences. He is currently Vice-President of the Istituto Europeo di Design.
