Caterina Moretti was born in Vienna (Austria) in 1975.
She holds a BA in Architecture from ITESO, Guadalajara, Mexico, and an MA in Criticism and Projects from Universidad Politécnica de Catalunya, Barcelona, Spain.
Caterina has the ability to focus her vision on the smallest details of her furniture, accessories and interior design projects, while looking to the horizon to lead her design studio, Peca. As a designer, she draws her inspiration from nature, from raw materials that offer multiple possibilities of form and texture, and from their ability to be transformed into everyday objects.
Her passion for textures and contrasts has resulted in a range of objects that infuse the organic and subtle with an original point of view, always provoking a contemplative turn. The presence of her design studio, Peca, in awards, exhibitions and retail spaces around the world is due to the careful selection of artisans and guest designers Caterina chooses to work with, as well as her unique spirit that allows her to move in unexpected directions.
