Clément Cauvet

Nationality
French
Occupation
"unclassifiable artistic soul"

After starting out as a craftsman in Paris, Clément Cauvet turned to painting, eventually finding his way into the lighting market. Here, he finds a passion that combines his artistic skills with the ability to confront and challenge reality.
Inspired, he imagines lamps with features that shake up society and physics, and he loves to play with the contradictions of the world.

Clément Cauvet describes his luminaires simply but enigmatically: "I see these 3 luminaires as a bridge between past, present and future", which has often earned him the title of "unclassifiable artistic soul". His works, being both modern and historical, have a timeless character that makes them highly appreciated by the lighting world.

Representing an invitation to reflection and self-awareness, the 3 lamps in the Cauvet collection also bring a soothing atmosphere with their shades of gray and gold.
Whether it's the Iota, Tau or Pi lamp, they all have a story to tell. Like a child playing "lego" in his bedroom, I tried to translate a world, with concrete and metal", but each also has its own myth.

In reference to the Greek universe, the Cauvet collection transmits and signifies a great deal. Each lamp relates to its eponymous Greek letter, as well as to its historical personality. An adept of simplicity yet efficiency, Clément Cauvet has created these designs using raw, natural materials that will last the test of time, giving a glimpse of the timeless dimension of these lamps.

Cauvet, who likes to leave nothing to chance, offers table lamps whose meticulous workmanship allows the products to be appreciated from different angles. The play of light has also been designed to interact with the lamps in the collection. It's a real object that offers us the possibility of rediscovering the perspectives and existence of 3D, but also of realizing our relationship with everyday objects.
