Scenographer and designer, Daniel Rybakken was born in 1984 in Oslo, Norway. He studied design at the Oslo School of Architecture and the School of Arts & Crafts in Gothenburg (Sweden). Then in 2008, he opened his own design studios in Oslo and Gothenburg.

He received several awards such as The Bruno Mathsson Award (2011), the 23rd and 24th Compasso d’Oro ADI (2014-2016) or The Torsten and Wanja Söderberg Prize in 2017.

His creations, in limited edition, are a perfect mix between art and modern design. Daniel Rybakken is use to play with natural light like sunrise. He changes this light with the shadows and explore the “Subconscious effects of Daylight”.

He worked in collaboration with the famous Italian house Luceplan on Counterbalance collection, Compendium, Stochastic pendant light and Ascent table lamp. All in a graphic and Scandinavian style.
