Falke Svatun is a Norwegian designer whose work is distinguished by a resolutely minimalist approach, where every line and volume is thought out with architectural precision. Trained in Sydney and having worked for renowned design studios, notably in Scandinavia, he founded his own studio in Oslo in 2014.
His creations - ranging from furniture to lighting - are characterized by a refined formal language, often inspired by simple geometric shapes and subtle contrasts between raw materials and refined finishes. Falke Svatun explores notions of balance, weight and visual tension to create objects that are both functional and sculptural.
Internationally recognized, he collaborates with contemporary design editors and regularly exhibits at prestigious trade shows such as Milan's Salone del Mobile. His work perfectly embodies the spirit of contemporary Nordic design: sober, intelligent and timeless.
