Franco Zavarise was born in Mareeba, Australia in 1960. After finishing his technical studies, he pursued his greatest desire, to create lighting structures for his long-time friends.

In 1982, he founded the dynamic and continuously growing Zava. He believes in great, affordable and sustainable design. For Zava, he created the floor lamp Mini Mini for example.
