Frederik Kurzweg is a German designer who started as a cabinetmaker in a traditional company near Münster. He then trained as an industrial designer and obtained a master's degree in product design at the University of Hamburg. During these years, he was able to deepen his knowledge of metal bending and synthetic resins. After graduation, he added the Master of Arts in Product Design at the University of Fine Arts in Hamburg where he focused on furniture design.

Frederik Kurzweg creates aesthetic and functional metal objects, the result of bold experimental experiments.
His famous creations include the Tangent table lamp, the Superpose suspension lamp and the Peekaboo lamp.
