Gerardo Mari, born in 1977 in Santa Fe, Argentina, is a designer, inventor and musician renowned for his contributions to industrial design and music. In 1996, he graduated as an electromechanical technician from the Escuela Industrial Superior, and in 2003 completed his studies in industrial design at the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba.

In 2003, Mari began producing aluminum electric lap steel guitars, drawing on his technical training and artistic sensibility. The following year, he co-founded Dozo with Ricardo Mielniczuk, a company specializing in the creation of designer armchairs.

Between 2005 and 2013, he worked for Artemide, where he was head of the product design department. Here, he collaborated with such renowned designers as Ernesto Gismondi, Michele de Lucchi, Naoto Fukasawa, Ross Lovegrove, Karim Rashid and Issey Miyake. This experience enables him to integrate the formal, aesthetic, functional and technical aspects of design.

With a dual background in industrial design and electromechanics, Mari excels in product development, combining creativity and innovative solutions. Her work is marked by in-depth research into new ideas, while taking into account the ergonomic and semiotic dimensions of objects, enriching their symbolic meaning.

His career bears witness to a holistic approach to design, where aesthetics meet functionality, and where each creation reflects a unique cultural interpretation.
