The italian designer Giusto Toso was born in Murano, a small island in the northern Italy.
Murano is known around the world for its craftsmen specializing in glass blowing.

Giusto Toso continues the local tradition, he worked for years in his father’s glass-making factory named "fratelli Orso". It is here where he learned the art of the craft and has begun to draw these first works, he will be the first to realize a series of modular elements with a self-bearing system completely made of glass which used to put together large lighting installations in Europe, the United States and Japan.

He won the first prize at the Venice Biennale, two first prizes at the Bevilacqua La Masa Foundation and the first prize for an exhibition of artistic glass in Venice.
Giusto Toso has always been interested in researching new materials and techniques to work with glass.

This is why the italian brand Leucos and the designer Giusto Toso have done a collaboration.
Products such as Aella from the ICON collection were made between the great Italian brand and the designer. In this product we find the Venetian know-how with a blown glass diffuser handcrafted.

Today Giusto Toso is a world-famous designer, his works are exhibited at the Corning Museum in New York, the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and we also find some of these lamps exhibited at the Pompidou Center in Paris.
