Jean-Michel Tarallo is a French designer, interior architect, and artistic director born in Digne-les-Bains in 1968. Trained at ENSAAMA Olivier-de-Serres in Paris, where he earned a Higher Diploma in Applied Arts in product and environmental design in the early 1990s, he has built a career at the intersection of design, interior architecture, and artistic creation.
After gaining experience at various design and architecture firms—notably working with furniture designers and in the automotive industry—he founded the Paris-based studio État de Grâce in 2011. The studio specializes in interior architecture, spatial design, furniture, and art direction, with an approach centered on emotion, materials, and the character of spaces.
Since 2021, Jean-Michel Tarallo has also been pursuing a career as a visual artist. His artistic work is expressed through drawing, ink, abstract compositions, and explorations of the memory of landscapes and architecture. He has participated in several recent exhibitions in Paris, Arles, and Eure-et-Loir.
