Designer

A visionary designer and craftsman of emotion, born in 1961 in Saint-Étienne, Joseph Mazoyer-DO transforms light into a sensory and poetic experience. His approach, at the intersection of art and design, gives rise to lighting fixtures that transcend their function to become true works of art.

Trained in fine arts and driven by a passion for fine materials, Joseph Mazoyer-DO has developed a unique aesthetic language, where the balance between precision and freedom guides every creation. His work, celebrated for its boldness and finesse, is part of a constant quest for innovation, while paying homage to traditional craftsmanship.
Through his agency DO – Design Office, founded in 1995, he explores numerous fields of industrial design—lighting, of course, but also connected home devices, household appliances, and personal development products, ranging from toys and sports equipment to health-related devices. Passionate about industrial design, every day he and the DO team envision what our living environment of tomorrow will look like, striving through their creations and in partnership with industrial and commercial partners to make it more sustainable and ever more desirable.

For Joseph Mazoyer-DO, a light fixture is not merely an object: it is a dialogue between space, material, and light. His creations, characterized by clean lines, organic curves, and interplay of transparency, invite a sensory immersion. Each piece is designed to enhance interiors while asserting a strong and timeless identity.
