Lars Tornøe studied at the Bergen National Academy of Art and Design. He has won several awards such as Designer of the Year in Norway and the Award for Design Excellence. His work has been shown at many international exhibitions. "A lot of my initial ideas include an abstract vision of the expression and personality the product should communicate."He relies on many materials like wood, porcelain or marble and currently collaborates with the Danish firm New Works.
