Internationally renowned designer Marre Moerel has established herself through a rich and cosmopolitan career.
Trained in furniture design at London's Royal College of Art, she soon developed a demanding, conceptual approach to design. From 1993 to 2002, she lived and worked in New York as a freelance designer, while teaching at the Parsons School of Design. This period was also marked by her involvement in the emerging creative scene, organizing and curating exhibitions dedicated to experimental design in New York and Milan. In 2003, driven by a desire to explore new creative territories, she moved to Madrid, where she continues and enriches her work.
Marre Moerel's creations are characterized by a deep reflection on the form, function and cultural context of objects. Her universe, both rigorous and poetic, has seduced major international houses such as Cappellini, Covo, Offecct, Celda, Ozone and WilsonArt International. Presented at major exhibitions and institutions - from the V&A and the Design Museum in London to fairs in Milan, Tokyo, New York and Stockholm - her work has also been widely published in the international trade press. Today, Marre Moerel continues her research and collaborations from Spain, developing new projects where design becomes a terrain for experimentation and cultural dialogue.
