Mauricio is an industrial designer. From 2006 to 2016, he worked at MO Studio, and then created his own design studio, where he creates lighting pieces for brands such as Veuve Clicquot, Campari, lighting fixtures and furniture in hotel and restaurant projects.
Since 2016, he has been head of design at Contain Studio. He founded CONTAIN, a design studio and manufacturer of high quality lighting fixtures, proudly made in Mallorca and working worldwide, specializing in custom pieces for contract projects.
Juan Peralta and Mauricio Obarrio are at the head of CONTAIN STUDIO. Their mission, they say, is "to provide handcrafted, highly technical, sophisticated yet simple lighting solutions. Our studio's inspiration is fueled by an obsession with natural materials such as brass, glass, and hardwoods, as well as a love for craftsmanship."
They enjoy working with recycled materials and have created the SIMPLE TUBUS, an eco-friendly wall sconce!
