The French designer Pierre Gonalons, born in Lyon, is specialized in architecture and scenography. He opened his own design agency Ascète in 2003, after completing his studies at the decorative arts school Camondo. His vision stems from French decorative art and popular culture and his work places somewhere between spectacular and anonymous, focusing on material quality. The aim of Pierre Gonalons is to give a contemporary style with a sincere message to his creations, which depends greatly on the consumer's impressions. He also works for brand needs in product design, spatial layout, event and window showcasing or even creative strategy. He has received several awards such as Best Breakthrough Designer at the Wallpaper Design Awards in 2007 and his scenography for Knoll France during Designer's Days in 2008 was honored by AD magazine.
