Rubén Saldaña was born in Salamanca, Spain in 1976.
He studied engineering at the Jaume I University in Castellon and graduated in Technical Engineering in Industrial Design at Elisava in Barcelona.
He then obtained his master's degree in Industrial Design Management at CIM-UPC where he was awarded the ADI-FAD medal for the "Land Sailing" project.
In the same year he also won third place in the Dupont Imagineering competition for the project "Free".
He combines this activity with his research at Elisava.
In 2004, he founded the company Diba Product Solutions, dedicated to product design and engineering where new proposals are made while working closely with designers, studios and publishing houses in the front line of his product development (PHB, Royal, Praesentis, Magix, Rocal, Vilagrasa, Marset, Pom d`or, DAE, Cactusdesign, Eddadesign, Altrodesign ...).
He combines this activity with teaching in the Master's programme in Product Design and Development at Elisava.
He is the creator of the Tria and Alba collections for Bover.
