Runa Klock & Hallgeir Homstvedt
Runa Klock's efforts as a designer can be described from several points of view.
Biographically, Runa Klock, starting on the west coast of Norway, whose rugged terrain, dug by the forces of nature, clearly marks her works. Core, its highly acclaimed stone lamp, is a good example. His education is also the source of a strong interest in traditional craftsmanship.
Runa Klock is based in Oslo, where she also studied at the Oslo Academy of Fine Arts. In addition to designing design objects, her multidisciplinary and collaborative practice also designs food packaging, exhibitions and stage sets.
Hallgeir Homstvedt is a true master of the idiom of subtle gestures. Over the years, Hallgeir Homstvedt has won numerous awards and his works have been exhibited in London, Tokyo, Oslo, New York and Milan.
The discreet nature of his works allows the materials to express themselves, as in the case of the clay in his Balance vase and the marble in his grooved plaque, which he designed for Muuto. The same restraint and unpretentious tactility can be found in the Lily lamp, which he and Runa Klock created for Abstracta.
