Andreas Kowalewski is a talented German designer. His background as a carpenter and industrial designer combines craftsmanship, aesthetic and technical knowledge.
In 2016, he founded his own interdisciplinary design studio, encompassing a wide range of industrial design services: Studio Kowalewski. From the very beginning, the studio has collaborated with several internationally renowned brands and has won several international design awards.
In his studio, he aims to create contemporary and meaningful product solutions for everyday life, reducing complexity in form and function and transforming it into objects with personality and sustainable use of materials.
The Berlin-born designer first trained as a carpenter before beginning to study industrial design at the Folkwang Art University in Essen. Before founding his own design studio, he worked as a creative director in the field of consumer electronics in the Netherlands and China. With more than 15 years of international experience, he has gained extensive knowledge in creative direction and innovation management, as well as a deep understanding of different branches of industry and craftsmanship.
