Studio Mayice was founded in 2013 by Imanol Calderón Elósegui and Marta Alonso Yebra. It is a product design and architecture studio.
Its will is to focus on materials, respecting history and functionality. Each project of the Mayice studio is presented with its own personality and aims to reflect the soul of a material.
Studio Mayice is notably the creator of the Filamento collection. The latter is a sculptural piece made of a single length of curved glass. It is a study of how light travels through concave and convex shapes.
Glass has also been experimented with by the Mayice studio in other luminaires: the Blow Lamp or the Rfc+ collection of suspensions, designed for the Royal Glass Works of La Granja.
