Behind the QDB studio are Gauthier and Victoire Decarne, a duo united by a shared vision of design, where contemporary creation, artisanal craftsmanship, and a commitment to sustainability come together.

The adventure began in 2016 with a simple gesture: giving a glass bottle a second life. Initiated by Gauthier Decarne, who was quickly joined by Victoire, the project is built around the principle of upcycling, transforming an everyday object into a useful and aesthetically pleasing piece. Based in Le Touquet-Paris-Plage, the studio has gradually developed its own workshop and established its identity as a French manufacturer and designer, mastering every stage of design and production. Their journey is rooted in a constant exploration of glass, its techniques, and its possibilities, while promoting local and responsible production.

Over the years, Gauthier and Victoire have developed collections of objects and lighting fixtures that explore the many expressions of glass: vases, candleholders, lamps, and custom-made pieces, conceived as durable and sensitive objects. Their work draws inspiration from the material itself, from the constraints of glass that they seek to subvert and elevate, but also from craftsmanship, architecture, and everyday objects.

Today, the studio also opens its workshop to designers, artists, and architects to foster a creative dialogue around the material. Collaborations such as the one with designer Théo Charasse illustrate this commitment to experimentation and knowledge-sharing, where each creation emerges from a balance between innovation, functionality, and the poetry of the material.
