Founded in Milan in 2001 by Alessandro Scandurra, Scandurra Studio is an architectural practice dedicated to projects of all scales, conducting ongoing research into space and contemporaneity.
The studio carries out projects all over the world, covering various fields such as regional planning, urban and architectural design, interior architecture for various typologies (residential, offices, catering, hotels), as well as exhibitions, stands and design.
Scandurra Studio's inspirations are rooted in the close relationship between art and industry, reflecting Milan's particular identity. Notable achievements include the Uptown residential complex in Cascina Merlata, Milan's first "smart district", which incorporates themes such as sustainability, green mobility and shared spaces. The studio also designed the Bookshop La Scala, characterized by a simple exhibition hierarchy and dynamic interaction between the theater and the city. Another notable achievement is the Sarca 235 project, which consists of the renovation of an existing building as part of the transformation of an industrial zone in the north-east of Milan, focusing on the rationality, luminosity and flexibility of spaces.
Today, Scandurra Studio continues to develop innovative projects that combine functionality and high formal value, while integrating considerations of sustainability and human well-being.
