Occupation
Designer

Théo Charasse has developed a design approach rooted in experimentation, material research, and the transformation of everyday objects.

Since 2023, he has been collaborating with the QDB Editions studio on a research project focused on glass—and more specifically on the bottle, the studio’s signature material. Driven by a desire to create beauty from existing materials, the designer conceived his first lighting fixtures by exploring the possibilities offered by the reuse and transformation of glass. This shared vision with QDB Editions has given rise to a collaboration where craftsmanship, innovation, and French manufacturing come together within the workshop itself.

Théo Charasse’s creations are distinguished by an aesthetic that is both minimalist and sculptural, where light reveals the full richness of the material. With QDB Editions, he has created his first collection of lighting fixtures, comprising table lamps, pendant lights, and floor lamps, designed from bottles that are cut and then layered into glass cylinders. His work draws inspiration from the material’s inherent limitations, which he seeks to push beyond in order to better enhance them.
Through transparency, reflections, and the interplay of volumes, his creations reflect a fascination with simple objects reinterpreted with sensitivity, in an approach where technical experimentation and visual poetry converge.
