Uto Balmoral launched his career in 2011 with the Maybe/Forse exhibition at the DAAL gallery in Milan during Design Week and is a virtual designer.
He hides his true identity. Uto Balmoral is in fact an artistic project that stems from a personal reflection on the situation of contemporary design. He is a character created with provocation in order to be himself a product, a project of the designer.
Uto's work is aimed at the simple need to communicate, to provoke, to generate something in the public, to force a smile, to trigger a reaction, to make people think, to start a process capable of going beyond the aesthetic and functional sense and to centre the main scope of his work in this.
Uto has collaborated with renowned brands such as Officinanove, Tonelli Design, Luce 5, of which he is also artistic director, Seletti with its famous Wonder lamp, and other internationally renowned artists and galleries.
