Villa Tosca was founded in 2001 from the DMC Villa Tosca experience, the research center for strategic design established in Milan in 1993 under the initiative of Matsushita Investment and Development; the current president is Augusto Grillo. He was the founder of the aedo-to.com project – the first designers’ virtual community – and of the Ludea project - a collection of sophisticated wooden toys inspired by physical and mathematical principles. The agency is currently located in Italy, United States and Japan offering consultation, training and research in the field of design for companies and international universities.
